Product Manager

Our platform is scalable globally and bolstered by a multi-year strategic partnership with Mastercard. Recognising the opportunity, CommBank formed a new strategic partnership with Karta in October 2021. With groundbreaking technology that simplifies gift cards for consumers and businesses, we are seeking a Product Manager who can take the lead and deliver our B2B product in line with our Company vision. You will be an expert at translating ideas into strategy and features and managing the product lifecycle from development to product launch.

As the Product Manager you are the guardian of our customers, responsible for keeping their needs and wants at the centre of every decision. You will have a keen eye for gaps in B2B product offerings and the innovative mindset that naturally converts these opportunities into product requirements.

What you will lead:

  • The execution of all product lifecycle processes
  • Understanding current competitor offerings, seeking opportunities for differentiation
  • Conducting qualitative customer research
  • Translating the product strategy into detailed requirements
  • Creating product strategy documents
  • Market insights to support sales strategies, and input into effective marketing communications plans
  • Drafting business cases, internal press releases for each product, along with FAQs
  • Collaborating closely with the engineering, design, operations, marketing, finance and sales teams on the development, QA, and release of products
  • Incorporating feedback from our internal teams, ensuring the engineers have everything they need
  • Creating and maintaining a healthy product backlog
  • Running the backlog refinement and sprint planning sessions
  • Participating in agile ceremonies, including retrospective, demos & stand-ups

What you can demonstrate:

  • Strong experience in a dynamic product management role
  • The ability to oversee all elements of the product development lifecycle
  • Familiarity with the Agile frameworks and experience developing products using dual track Agile
  • Highly effective cross-functional team management
  • Constructive and collaborative leadership
  • Exceptional writing skills, and the ability to present and tell the story

Your qualifications:

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in product or engineering or a relevant certification in product management
  • Previous software and web development experience
  • Proven experience working in a fast-moving fintech start up
